Crown lengthening surgery is a type of periodontal procedure in which the clinical crown of a tooth is increased by incising, repositioning, or removing gingival tissue and reshaping the surrounding alveolar bone. This procedure creates sufficient tooth structure for the continuation of dental treatment and proper restoration.
This course is designed to provide dentists with both theoretical knowledge and practical skills for performing crown lengthening procedures, including esthetic and functional considerations.

Knowledge of soft tissue incision and suturing
Proficiency in bone removal techniques and flap repositioning
Experience in managing gummy smile cases
Knowledge of dental imaging
Ability to interpret panoramic and periapical radiographs
Familiarity with CBCT for bone and soft tissue evaluation
Understanding of biological and esthetic principles in dentistry
Knowledge of esthetic proportions between teeth, gingiva, and lips
Understanding of the biological relationship between gingiva and teeth
